Brechin Town House Museum is located within an old municipal building, constructed around 1789-90, in the centre of the Cathedral City of Brechin.
The museum contains local history exhibitions, works by local artist David Waterson and a model of 1820s Brechin. It gives visitors the chance to explore the history of the town and its people, with a rich collection of objects, photographs, archival and collectable material.
Dioramas at the museum focus on Brechin’s ancient beginnings as an ecclesiastical city such a cleric in the Cathedral scriptorium and the cattle rustler John Gall, in the Black Hole of Brechin.
