Pendennis Castle is one of Henry VIII’s finest coastal fortresses, built to defend the country against invasion. The castle has seen action in many conflicts and was one of the last royalist strongholds to fall during the English Civil War.
Today, visitors can transport themselves back to Tudor times and right through the First and Second World Wars in a packed day out. Highlights include Henry VIII’s mighty Tudor keep, our exhibition ‘Fortress Falmouth and the First World War’, and the firing of the noon day gun from April to October (except on event days).
We love hearing about your days out at Pendennis Castle. This account is managed Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.
