We are Britain’s most north westerly local authority museum & archive service covering the islands of the Outer Hebrides from Barra in the South to Lewis in the North.
Established in 1983 we operate from two centres, Museum nan Eilean at Lews Castle, Stornoway and Sgoil Lionacleit on the island of Benbecula. We also works closely with the Comainn Eachdraidh, the distinctive and individual historical societies of the islands.
